Tahlequah man killed in single-vehicle accident in Stilwell Oklahoma
Two teens were killed in an early morning, single-vehicle accident near Tahlequah.According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a truck holding eight people was traveling on Pettit Bay Road at a high rate of speed around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign and went into a broad slide, then struck a tree.Five passengers were ejected from vehicle, four of which were riding in the bed of the truck.Tahlequah residents Paul Blevins, Jr., 19, and Michael Rogers, 14, were both pronounced dead at the scene by Cherokee EMS.An 18-year-old remains in critical condition at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa. The condition of the driver and the cause of the collision are under investigation.
