Amalga, UT : Idaho truck driver killed in rollover crash on State Road 218 near Amalga on Sunday morning, May 29, 2016

An Idaho man was killed in a tanker truck rollover this morning near Amalga.

The Utah Highway Patrol responded to the crash at milepost 4 on State Road 218 around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and found the semi-truck on its side with the driver dead in the cab. He has been identified as 57-year-old Salvador Lemus-Tellez of Kimberly, Idaho.

The Highway Patrol reported the truck, which was carrying an agricultural product, appeared to have jack-knifed and rolled down an embankment after drifting off the right side of the road. It is not known what caused the truck to veer off course.
