MOUNT LAUREL, NJ : Flatbed driver killed in Mount Laurel crash on Thursday, September 14, 2017
The driver of a flatbed truck was killed when the vehicle left the roadway Thursday night and crashed into nearby woods, Trooper Lawrence Peele of the State Police said.
The driver, whose identity was withheld pending notification of family, was traveling north on I-295 when the crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. He was the lone occupant of the truck and no other vehicles appear to have been involved, Peele said.
The cause of the crash was pending the outcome of an investigation. The state Department of Transportation closed down the right lane of the highway Thursday night.
