BURKE COUNTY, NC : Troopers say rain causing multiple crashes along I-40 in Burke County on Friday, 22nd February 2019

Troopers said they believe rain may have been the cause of a crash Friday morning between three tractor-trailers along Interstate 40 in Burke County.

Police said it also led to four other crashes in a construction zone.Officials with the Highway Patrol said since the work began to replace bridges along I-40, they’ve responded to more than a dozen crashes on the interstate, including several on rainy days like Friday.
