Phoenix, AZ : 2 children, mother injured in crash near 61st Drive and McDowell Road on Friday, 27th March, 2020

Officials said two small children and their mother were seriously injured in a three-car crash near 61st Drive and McDowell Road Friday.

Details about how the crash occurred or if anyone else was injured weren't immediately available. Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said all three were transported to a hospital after the crash.

Thompson added that traffic has been shut down from 63rd Avenue to 59th Avenue on McDowell Road Friday evening.

It's not clear when the area will reopen.
