LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR : Crews work two-car crash with injuries on April, Friday 7th 2017

Crews in Lawrence County work a two-vehicle crash along the highway on Friday.

According to Arkansas State Police Troop B, the crash happened on Highway 67 near Hoxie at the 120-mile marker, near the Highway 63 ramp.

The southbound lane closed as they clear the crash.

According to Hoxie Fire Chief Chris Ditto said one person was airlifted to St. Bernards Medical Center and another person was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.

Ditto said the driver of a BMW attempted to merge onto Highway 67 and drove into the lane of a truck headed south.

The driver of the BMW was trapped in the car and had to be extricated.

Both injured individuals were in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.
