Atlanta, GA : A Roswell woman died in a head-on collision on Friday, June 9, 2017

A Roswell woman died Friday afternoon in a head-on collision in the Marietta area, Cobb County police said.

Jacqueline M. Frankum, 75, was killed in the crash on Post Oak Tritt Road near Walden Lane, police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said.

Fankum’s car, a 2005 Lexus, was westbound on Post Oak Tritt Road, police said. A 2005 Ford F750 flatbed truck was headed east on the same road.

“The Lexus drove on the wrong side of the road to pass another vehicle and collided head on with the Ford truck,” Chilton said in the release.

Frankum was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The truck’s driver was identified as Gregg A. Morgan, 40, of Woodstock, according to police. He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges are expected to be filed, police said, though the investigation is ongoing. People with knowledge of the incident are asked to call police at 770-499-3987.
