Jasper, MO : Child injured in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 49 in Jasper County on Sunday, April 10, 2016

A Jasper child was injured in a two-vehicle accident about noon Sunday on Interstate 49 in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tennessee G. Taffner, 12, a passenger in a car driven by Lori R. Taffner, 38, of Jasper, was taken to Mercy Hospital Carthage.

According to the patrol, Taffner's northbound vehicle hit the back of a unit being towed by a northbound pickup truck driven by David Donald, 63, of Florissant.
