Clinton, WI : 7-year-old Chief David Hooker injured while he was crossing Church Street at State Highway 140 on Monday, April 18th, 2016

A child was airlifted to University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics with head injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Clinton Sunday evening.
According to Clinton Police Chief David Hooker, the 7-year-old was crossing Church Street — also known as State Highway 140 — when the truck struck him in the 400 block shortly after 6 p.m.
The driver, Garrett Vinke, 19, of Clinton, remained at the scene until authorities arrived and has not been issued any citations.
According to Hooker, police are still investigating and have called in an accident reconstruction team.
