HOMESTEAD, FL : 2 teens die, 1 airlifted to hospital after car crash on Monday, November 21st 2016
Two teens have died and another has been injured following a single-vehicle crash in Homestead.
The Miami-Dade Police Department tells local news organizations that the teens crashed into a tree near an intersection on Monday.
Officials responded and pronounced two of the teens dead at the scene. Homestead police spokesman Fernando Morales says the third victim was airlifted to the hospital.
Morales also says that two of the teens were ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash.
The teens were students at Keys Gate Charter School. Two of the victims were 18 years old and one was 17 years old.
Police are investigating to see if speed played a factor in the crash.
