Abingdon, VA : Two people died in a head-on collision Route 19 Thursday morning,August 13th 2015

Virginia State Police say two people have died in a head-on collision in southwest Virginia.
Spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the accident occurred at 5:45 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 19 north of Abingdon.
Geller says a southbound pickup truck traveling in the northbound lanes struck a car head-on. The pickup's driver, 74-year-old Dannie M. Taylor of Cleveland, Virginia, died at the scene. The car's driver, 47-year-old Robert W. Crabtree of Meadowview, died en route to a hospital.
No other people were in the vehicles. Geller says the accident remains under investigation.
