Chagrin Falls, OH : 8-year-old boy died after hit by car on Sunday afternoon July 13th 2014
Police and the Valley Enforcement Group Accident Investigation Unit have completed their investigation at the scene of a fatal accident just after noon today downtown.
All roads in downtown Chagrin Falls have reopened.
Police confirm to that a woman driver, 62, of Chagrin Falls, struck five people at the intersection of Washington and Franklin streets.
Police confirm that an 8-year-old boy died at Hillcrest Hospital. Witnesses at the scene tell that a family was walking when they were struck.
Dead is Eli Sachar, 8, of Arlington, Virginia, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police say he was walking with his parents and two other children -- it is not known if the other two children were his siblings -- when the group was struck.
Police say that the parents and the two other children have all been released from the hospital and are en route home.
Police confirm that the driver was taken to Ahuja Medical Center by the Chagrin Falls Fire Department EMS. She has not been arrested or charged and police are not releasing her identity yet.
Police also confirm that the family was all taken to Hillcrest Hospital by the Chagrin Falls, Solon and Bainbridge EMS.
