One person has died following a serious crash in the 1000 block of South 8th Street and Motor City Drive, according to Colorado Springs police.
The 6:47 p.m. crash during a heavy rain storm and flash flooding sent two people to the hospital, according to police and media reports.
One of those injured parties was in critical condition.
South 8th Street is closed between Brookside and Motor Way while the Major Accident Unit investigated. The closure was expected to continue for several hours.
The victim's name and further details about the crash were not available late Friday.
