Oklahoma City, OK : One person killed, 2 injured in crash on Turner Turnpike on Monday morning, April 4, 2016
One person was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the Turner Turnpike, officials said.
The wreck was reported Monday morning in the westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike near Midwest Boulevard. The accident involved a van and a tanker, according to officials.
One of the passengers in the van was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers were taken to an area hospital.
John Eckert, 75, and Robert Adams, 73, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, were identified as the people in the van. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The crash was a direct result of the bus fire that caused traffic, according to officials.
