Lakewood, CO : Two adults and seven kids injured in rollover crash in Jefferson County on Sunday night, February 28, 2016

Colorado State Patrol troopers are investigating whether a woman was intoxicated when she crashed and rolled an SUV Sunday night in a crash that injured nine people in Jefferson County.

Two adults and seven children were treated for injuries. Two children were hospitalized with serious injuries, according to Trooper Nate Reid, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.

Seven children ranging in age from 1 to 10 were injured.

Angela M. Densmore, 30, of Littleton, is suspected of drunken driving after she crashed a 2006 Ford Expedition over the median at West Bowles Avenue and South Pierce Street at about 9:44 p.m. Densmore was hospitalized, Reid said.

Rene Garcia of Littleton, a passenger, suffered moderate injuries.

Densmore was traveling eastbound on West Bowles Avenue in the left lane just east of West Long Drive, when the SUV she was driving struck the left-hand curb.

She steered to the right and then swerved hard to the left, causing the car to spin counter clockwise over the center median.

When she steered back to the right, the SUV rolled clockwise, collided with a tree, breaking the trunk of the tree in half, as the vehicle careened along the median.

The SUV struck a second tree, snapping it in half before rolling into the westbound lanes. The SUV came to a stop in the left lane of westbound West Bowles Avenue facing east.
