KANSAS CITY, MO : Fatal crash on I-49 near Peculiar on Tuesday, 29th January 2019

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon on southbound Interstate 49 near Peculiar.

Authorities said the crash, involving a tractor-trailer and a car, was reported at 3:54 p.m. I-49 south of J Highway is closed.The Highway Patrol said one person died. No other details were released about the wreck.

Authorities are also working a second crash in the area.
