EFFINGHAM, IL : Woman injured in Effingham accident in the snow on February, Sunday 4th 2018
An Effingham woman was injured Sunday afternoon when the pickup truck she was riding in skidded out of control on snowy pavement, hit a ditch and overturned, the Illinois State Police said.
Police said Molly Webb, 26, was treated at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham following the crash, which happened at 3:44 p.m. as the truck was northbound on Interstate 57 near I-70.
The truck was driven by Brett Deters, 27, of Montrose, who was not listed as being injured, police said. Also unhurt was a second passenger, Taylor Davis, 26, of Effingham.
Police said Deters was ticketed for improper lane usage and Webb was ticketed for failure to wear a seat belt.
