Jonesboro, AR : Woman injured in school bus crash early Friday evening, August 19, 2016

A Jonesboro school bus driver struck a woman, injuring her, before continuing to drive along his route.

According to Lane Holmes with the Jonesboro Police Department, the woman was taken to a local hospital early Friday evening. The driver told officers he was unaware he struck the woman when he returned to the scene.

According to Holmes, the woman was leaning against a parked vehicle at the intersection of Word and Labaume when the bus driver passed by. Holmes said the woman was pinned against the bus and vehicle.

The accident happened at 3:44 p.m.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
