Corvallis,OR : Man arrested for alleged impaired driving after kids injured in head-on crash on June, tuesday 13th 2017

Benton County Sheriff deputies arrested a 33-year-old Toledo man two weeks ago after his kids were injured in a head-on crash with another car, according to a deputy’s incident report released Tuesday.

Deputies suspect Michael Joe Dodson used methamphetamine earlier in the day of the May 28 crash, said Undersheriff Greg Ridler. Dodson’s children, ages 6 and 11, were treated at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center after the collision and later released, Ridler said.

Dodson was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, fourth-degree assault, third-degree assault, reckless endangering and second-degree criminal mischief, the deputy’s report states. Deputies collected blood and urine samples from Dodson.

Dodson was then cited and released, according to the report. Prosecutors have not yet filed charges in Circuit Court in relation to the case.
