INDIANAPOLIS, IN : IMPD officer involved in head-on collision in the area of Raceway Road and Washington Street on Thursday, 7th February 2019

An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was involved in a head-on collision Thursday evening.

According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 10 p.m. in the area of Raceway Road and Washington Street.

The IMPD officer was transported to the IU Health Methodist Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was in serious condition and was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital for treatment, according to Wayne Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
