Junction City, KS : Caitlyn Head, 22, killed after being injured in a one-car crash in Geary County on Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2016

A woman was killed after being injured in a one-car crash Sunday afternoon in Geary County, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 2:50 p.m. Sunday in the 12000 block of Clarks Creek Road, about two miles south of Interstate 70.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix that was northbound on Clarks Creek Road left the roadway for an unknown reason. The car then veered off the road and entered the east ditch. The car then rolled one time and struck a concrete culvert.

The car’s driver, Caitlyn Head, 22, of Junction City, was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, where she later died. The patrol said she was wearing a seat belt.

Head was alone in her car.
