CHEHALIS, WA : A wrong-way driver died in a crash on Interstate 5 on Saturday, July 16, 2017
A wrong-way driver died late Saturday night in a crash on Interstate 5 near Chehalis that injured two other people.
According to Washington State Patrol, a driver was heading south in the northbound lanes when about 11 p.m. he crashed into another car.
The 23-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people in the other car were taken to local hospitals.
Washington State Patrol closed the interstate near milepost 77 for a crash investigation.
Troopers will release the man's name once family members have been notified of his death. No word on why he started driving the wrong way on the interstate.
