New York, NY : Pedestrian struck and killed by car on Manhattan's Lower East Side on Monday evening, November 24, 2014
Police are investigating a collision in Lower Manhattan that left a pedestrian dead in the street.
The victim was hit by a BMW sedan at Bowery Street Monday evening.
Police say the driver did not stop. They say he continued east on Bowery Street, striking a fire hydrant at Stanton Street before coming to a stop.
The 24-year-old driver was not injured.
The identities of the victim and driver were not immediately released
