Jersey City, NJ : 69-year-old Manahawkin man was killed on a one-car accident on Sunday, 22nd April 2018

A 69-year-old Manahawkin man was killed on a one-car accident Sunday on the Garden State Parkway in Berkeley Township, a state police sergeant said.

Ernest Zahn died shortly after his 2015 Hyundai Sonata struck a guard rail, left the northbound roadway and slammed into a tree at 11:30 a.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said.

No other injuries were reported. The highway was not closed after the accident because the investigation was completed off of the road, Peele said. The incident remains under investigation.
