Annapolis, MD : Man dies in two-vehicle crash on Ringgold Pike on Tuesday, 10th September 2019

An Emmitsburg, Md., man died when the car he was driving crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle Tuesday on Ringgold Pike.

Timothy Vernon Keilholtz, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to a news release from Maryland State Police.

Troopers said the incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. when the eastbound Subaru Legacy that Keilholtz was driving crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound Ford Fusion near Misty Meadow Road.

An investigation determined the driver of the Ford, Scott Anthony Brown, 41, of Maugansville tried to swerve but was unable to avoid the collision.

Brown was taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown. He was listed in good condition Wednesday morning.
