Norfolk, VA : Alcohol believed to be cause of a one-vehicle accident near Stanton on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
A one-vehicle accident sent one person to the hospital early Sunday morning.
Paul Cheyney, 25, of Stanton was taken with possible head injuries to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk after he lost control of his vehicle, entered a steep ditch and struck a dirt embankment, according to the Stanton County Sheriff's Office.
According to a release, Cheyney was traveling north on Highway 57 and was approximately two miles north of Stanton when the incident occurred just after midnight.
The sheriff's office cited Cheyney for driving while intoxicated - second offense.
