Lacey Township, NJ :Head-on crash in Lacey leaves 3 kids, 3 adults hospitalized on Saturday, July 4th 2015

Authorities say a head-on collision in southern New Jersey left three children and three adults hospitalized.The accident happened around 5:40 p.m. Saturday on Route 539 in Lacey Township.Police say a 24-year-old man was driving northbound when he started passing several vehicles. But his car soon collided head-on with a southbound sport utility vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man.The car's driver and a 26-year-old female passenger suffered multiple internal injuries and were flown to a hospital. But further details on their conditions were not disclosed.A 2-year-old child riding in the car was taken to a hospital as a precaution.Three passengers in the SUV — a 54-year-old woman and two 10-year-old children — were treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The SUV's driver wasn't hurt.
