Stillwater, OK : Woman injured after collision on Highway 51 west of Stillwater on Monday evening, April 25, 2016
One woman was airlifted from the scene of a two-vehicle wreck Monday evening on Highway 51, eight miles west of Stillwater. Evelyn J. Williams, 81 of Perry, was transported to OU Medical Center and admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg, internal trunk and external trunk injuries.
According to the report, just before 6 p.m., Williams was driving a 2005 Lincoln Navigator south on State Highway 86 when she failed to yield and was struck by a 2005 Ford Explorer traveling west, driven by 21-year-old Rachel Jennings of Edmond. Jennings was transported with trunk internal injuries to Stillwater Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Neither driver was traveling with passengers. Williams was pinned for approximately 20 minutes before being freed by the Stillwater fire department. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
