Baltimore, MD : 50-year-old man injured in police van crash on Saturday October 24 2015

50-year-old man was taken to an area hospital Sunday morning after the Baltimore police van in which he was being transported was involved in an accident, police said.
Baltimore police said at approximately at 3:55 a.m., an officer was transporting a prisoner in a patrol wagon traveling south in the 4600 block of Sinclair Lane when the van collided with a 2007 Pontiac.
As the patrol wagon entered the intersection of Bowleys Lane at Sinclair Lane, the driver of the Pontiac made a left turn onto westbound Bowleys Lane, crossing into the path of the officer's vehicle. The van struck the front bumper of the Pontiac, police said.Both vehicles had a yellow signal at the time of the collision.
The prisoner, who was wearing a seat belt in the rear of the patrol wagon, was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He remains listed in stable condition, police said.
