HUMPHREYS COUNTY, TN : Two dead in crash on I-40 EB in Humphreys County on Friday, 26th April 2019

Two people have died in a multi-vehicle crash on I-40 Eastbound in Bucksnort.

The highway was closed at MM 145, between exit 143 (Highway 13) & Exit 152 (Bucksnort) for several hours but was partially open as of 3 p.m.

Sheriff Chris Davis says the crash was reported at 12:45 p.m. Friday. Two cars are involved. Two people are dead, two survivors were trapped.

A LifeFlight helicopter was at the scene.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol remains on site to investigate what happened.
