Little Creek, DE : Two people killed when tow truck leaves road, hits telephone pole on Monday morning July 21st 2014

Delaware State Police say two men were killed when a flatbed tow truck they were riding in left the road in Little Creek and hit a telephone pole.

It happened about 7 a.m. Monday on Bayside Drive. Troopers say 26-year-old Benjamin Hibbler of dover was driving the vehicle when its right side tires traveled off the edge of the road.

Police say the truck began spinning and crossed both travel lanes before hitting a large metal telephone pole.

Hibbler died at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle, 23-year-old Michael Shahan of Dover, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
