Sharptown, MD : Teenager dies, 3 injured after a single-vehicle crash in Sharptown on Monday night, August 1, 2016
A Wicomico teenager is dead and three others were injured after a single-vehicle crash Monday night in Sharptown, Maryland State Police report.
Police said four teenagers, ages 14-17, were traveling south in a Honda Accord at around 10 p.m. Aug. 1 when the accident happened on Sharptown Road.
The driver, a 17-year-old male from Hebron, lost control of the car, which hit a tree at high speed, the police report said.
The three passengers included a 17-year-old girl from Tyaskin, a 16-year-old boy from Salisbury and a 14-year-old boy from Hebron, police said.
All four occupants of the vehicle were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury where the female — the front seat passenger — succumbed to her injuries.
