Fairfield ,TX : Wrong-way driver, 2 others die in I-45 head-on collision south of Metroplex on Monday ,July 2015
Three people have died on Interstate 45 in a head-on collision caused by a driver traveling the wrong way on the highway.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper James Colunga tells WFAA-TV in Dallas (http://bit.ly/1IhtEJV ) that among those killed was the wrong-way driver, 78-year-old James Edward Warren of Richland.
Colunga says Warren was driving Monday in the southbound lanes south of Corsicana when his pickup struck an SUV carrying two adults and six children.
The driver of the SUV and a 14-year-old boy also died. The other six people in the SUV were flown to Dallas-area hospitals.
None of the children were wearing seat belts and one was thrown from the SUV.
