A minor was killed in a weekend crash in rural Osceola County, Iowa.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, Joshua Hamrick, 35, of Spencer, was driving a semi south on Walnut Avenue Friday afternoon when the vehicle left the roadway as did the trailer hitch behind it.

The semi and trailer slid into the ditch and the trailer slid around the side of the semi and began to roll causing the semi to roll. After one complete roll, the semi came to rest on the passenger side in the intersection of Walnut Avenue and 120th Street, about four miles northwest of Harris.

The minor — whom authorities are not identifying at this time — was a passenger in the semi and pronounced dead at the scene.
