Danbury Township, OH : Teens no longer in hospital after Sunday night crash on July 6, 2014
Two teens were taken to an area hospital Sunday night after a two-vehicle collision at Ohio 163 and Sunnydale Drive.
Andrew Christiansen, 17, of Marblehead, and Zach Heath, 17, of Rossford, were both transported to Magruder Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 9 p.m. when Robert Mackall, 19, of North Dakota, did not stop at a stop sign while traveling north on Sunnydale Drive. When he turned west on Ohio 163, his 2002 Dodge Stratus stuck the 2002 Ford Focus of Amber Espen, 18, of Rossford.
Christiansen was riding in Mackall’s passenger seat; Heath was in Espen’s passenger seat.
Leah Espen, 12, also was a passenger in Espen’s vehicle.
She was not transported.
Everyone involved was wearing a safety belt, the patrol said.
Mackall was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign and Espen was cited for not having her headlights turned on.
Danbury Township Police, Lakeside EMS and Marblehead Fire Department all responded.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
Christiansen and Heath were no longer listed as patients at Magruder Hospital on Monday.
