Berkeley, CA : One person injured after Multivehicle crash on Interstate 80 near the West Gilman Street offramp on Wednesday night, Aug 19, 2015

At least one person was injured after a multivehicle collision Wednesday night on Interstate 80, a CHP officer said.

The crash involving at least two cars happened at 9:51 p.m. on westbound I-80 near the West Gilman Street offramp, said California Highway Patrol Officer Damian Cistaro. A white Dodge Magnum and a silver Honda were heavily damaged.

All lanes reopened as of 11 p.m., Cistaro said. At least one person was transported to the hospital for their injuries. The extent of those injuries was unavailable Wednesday night.

The left three lanes were closed as of 10:25 p.m., backing up traffic toward Buchanan Street, Cistaro said. The right two lanes remained open.

A second collision happened shortly after at the same location, but on eastbound I-80, he said. Three vehicles crashed at 10:49 p.m. Officers did not know if anyone was injured as of late Wednesday night.
