Charges are pending against the driver of a stolen car who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase along the Garden State Parkway in northern New Jersey. Authorities say the pursuit started shortly after the vehicle was reported stolen in Englewood around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Paramus police soon located the car and began following it as the driver entered the southbound lanes of the parkway near Saddle Brook. A brief chase then ensued with Paramus police being joined by state police troopers. The vehicle eventually crashed into the median near exit 149 in Essex County. No injuries were reported in the pursuit or the crash, and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The suspect's name has not been disclosed.
