Lecompton, KS : Two people injured in car crash in Interstate 70 on Saturday November 7 2015

The Kansas Turnpike Authority is investigating after a car struck a deer in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 between Lecompton and Lawrence early Saturday morning.
Emergency crews were dispatched to mile marker 198 shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Arriving firefighters reported the heavily damaged car came to rest on its roof and two people were injured. Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical reported one critical injury and one serious injury.
A LifeStar helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but was canceled before it could arrive.
Both of the injured were transported by ambulance to Stormont-Vail in Topeka.
One lane of eastbound I-70 is getting through the scene, the other lane remains blocked.
