Cheyenne, WY : Teenager killed in a crash on Interstate 80 east of Cheyenne on Sunday morning, March 6, 2016
Investigators say a teenager who was killed in a crash on Interstate 80 east of Cheyenne was not wearing a seatbelt.
Sgt. David Wagener with the Wyoming Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Kiersten Larson's SUV went off the interstate and rolled into a ditch Sunday morning. The Carpenter teen died at the scene.
The crash marked the ninth highway fatality in Wyoming this year. Eighteen people had been killed in highway crashes by this time last year.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused Larson's SUV to go off the highway.
