Ojai Valley, CA : Woman killed in head-on crash on Highway 150 near Burnham Road on Friday, July 22, 2016

A woman was killed in a head-on crash Friday on Highway 150 in the Ojai Valley, officials said.

The incident was reported about 6 p.m. on the highway near Burnham Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, the patrol reported.

A woman in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ventura County Fire Department said. The other person involved in the crash was taken to Ojai Valley Community Hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

Both sides of Highway 150, also known as Baldwin Road in that area, were shut down due to the crash, the patrol reported.
