1 dead in Coventry car crash in Vermont

Vermont State Police are investigating a fatal crash.The accident happened at the intersection of Alderbrook Road and Route 14 in Coventry, Vt.State police said an Orleans County Sheriff’s deputy was turning around to follow a speeding car, when the car disappeared from the deputy’s sight. The officer than saw the Hyundai collide with a truck.

The driver of the Hyundai was not wearing a seat belt and was killed in the crash, police said.The driver of the truck was not hurt, and two passengers in the Hyundai sustained minor injuries, police said.
