DeKalb County, TX : 27-year-old man died early Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 69 on August 20th 2014

A 27-year-old Richardson, Texas, man died early today in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 69 in DeKalb County, the county sheriff's department said. The man was driving south on the interstate at the 337 mile marker near Waterloo about 2:50 a.m. when he left the road on the east side, overcorrected and left the road on the west side, the sheriff's department said in a statement. The vehicle struck a ditch embankment and overturned 1 1/2 times, coming to rest on the driver's side, the statement said. At some time during the overturning, it said, the driver was ejected. The driver, who was not identified, was not wearing his seat belt, police said. He died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
