Hartford, CT : Student complains of injury after school bus collision at Woodland and Niles streets on Friday, 28th February, 2020
A vehicle rear-ended a school bus in Hartford Friday morning, but no students were seriously injured, a school spokesman said.
The collision happened about 8 a.m. at Woodland and Niles streets, John Fergus said. A 7th grade student on the bus complained that she had bumped her head, but a parent arrived at the scene and declined to have the child taken to the hospital, he said.
The bus had been heading to a nearby school, West Middle School, at 44 Niles St., Fergus said. Some administrators walked to the scene and walked the students the rest of the way.
The damage to the bus was extremely minor, he said. It wasn’t clear if the person in the other vehicle was injured.
