Scottsdale, AZ : Police officer injured after a motorcycle crash at Jomax Road on Wednesday, Nov 11, 2015

Police in Scottsdale say a motorcycle officer has been seriously injured in a crash.

They say the officer's injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say the motorcycle officer was on Scottsdale Road approaching the intersection at Jomax Road about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a sedan failed to yield and turned in front of the motorcycle.

A collision occurred in the intersection.

Police say the officer was transported to a hospital and the intersection is currently closed while the accident is being investigated.

The name of the officer wasn't immediately released and it's unclear if the driver of the sedan will be cited.
