BERRIN COUNTY, MI : 19-year-old critically injured in 3-vehicle crash in Berrien County on Wednesday, 15th May 2024

A 19-year-old is listed in critical condition at the hospital after a crash involving three vehicles Wednesday night in Berrien County.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Eau Claire Road and Maple Grove Road in Berrien Township. When emergency crews arrived on scene, they found a 19-year-old man unconscious and pinned inside his vehicle.

The 19-year-old was airlifted to the hospital after he was removed from the vehicle. He is currently listed in critical condition with major head trauma.

Investigators believe a Honda van was making a left turn off Maple Grove Road onto Eau Claire Road when it crashed into a Saturn. This reportedly caused the Saturn to spin out of control, cross the center line, and hit a Ford F-150 in the southbound lane of Eau Claire.
