MADBURY, NH : Bicyclist seriously hurt in hit-and-run in Madbury on August, Tuesday 1st 2017

State and local police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist Tuesday night.

Madbury police received a report just before 7 p.m. of a bicyclist who had been struck by a car on Route 9.

Responding officers found Mark Dudley, 57, of Dover, lying on the ground but conscious.

Dudley was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Madbury police said witnesses stopped to help, but the driver who struck the cyclist did not stop.

State police were called to the crash scene about 7:45 p.m.

Investigators said the vehicle that struck the bicyclist will likely have front-end damage and a flat front tire on the passenger side.
