CHESTER, MA : Boston man seriously injured in Chester ATV crash; taken by helicopter to Baystate Medical Center on Thursday, November, 23rd 2017

A 29-year-old Boston man suffered what are being described as serious injuries in an all-terrain vehicle crash Thursday evening.

The man, whose name was not disclosed to the press, was transported by a Life Flight helicopter ambulance to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The exact nature of the injuries was not disclosed but they are considered to be serious, police said.

The accident was reported just before 7 p.m. in the wooded area near 25 Birch Circle, police said.

State and local police, the Chester Fire Department ad the Massachusetts Environmental Police responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Environmental Police.

Birch Circle is off Skyline Trail, roughly two miles east of the Middlefield line.
