PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA : Bedford County driver killed in Mack truck crash on Monday, 28th October 2024

The driver of a Mack truck was killed in a crash Monday in Pittsylvania County, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say Samuel Lawrence Wright, 69 of Bedford, died at the scene of the crash on Route 626, one tenth of a mile south of Lumpkin Road.

Wright ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected, crossing the center line and overturning, according to police.
