Lincoln, NC : Rochester man dies in motorcycle crash on state Route 174 near Wilbur on Saturday morning May 7th, 2016

A Western Washington man died Saturday evening when he crashed his motorcycle in Lincoln County.
Walter H. Nuehring, 59, was eastbound on state Route 174 about 16 miles northwest of Wilbur when his 2007 Harley-Davidson left the roadway and entered a ditch shortly before 11 p.m., the Washington State Patrol said.
Nuehring, of Rochester, near Centralia, attempted to correct and come back onto the roadway and then rolled the motorcycle, the WSP said.
He was wearing a helmet, investigators said. The crash remains under investigation.
