Topeka, KS : woman injured by colliding van to tree trimming truck on April, wednesday 12th 2017
A woman sustained injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening Wednesday afternoon when the van she was driving collided with a tree-trimming truck in the 4500 block of S.W. Auburn Road, authorities said.
The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office didn’t immediately release the names of those involved in the crash, which was reported at 5:12 p.m.
The woman was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Stormont Vail Hospital, said sheriff’s Cpl. Jace Beightel. The tree-trimming truck had multiple occupants, none of whom appeared to be injured.
The two vehicles collided “at about the yellow line” as the van was northbound and the tree-trimming truck was southbound on S.W. Auburn Road, Beightel said.
The sheriff’s office was investigating to determine why the crash occurred.
The crash prompted authorities to temporarily block off S.W. Auburn Road between S.W. 37th and 53rd streets.
